I’ve always found the illustrations in my novel trilogy to be very compelling and strange, and when I was working on them, I didn’t know or expect how my visual world-building would create such an unnerving cast of characters. I made this zine because I wanted to bring back a selection of the best of the images from the novels, and hopefully to create in the viewer a sense of the mystery and discomfort I felt as the faces appeared, as if from nowhere, on my drawing board.
